Ontario Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church Notice -
Concerning Elizabeth Holm's Recent Excommunication by Pastor Paul Casey
Respectfully sent to all Ontario Conference Clergy and Administrators,
It has come to my attention that last week Elizabeth Holm received the following message from Pastor Paul Casey, the Pastor of the North Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church:
"Dear Elizabeth
It has come to my attention that you have not decided to keep your doctrine outside of our church. On behalf of our church, in the past, I have asked that you not give, and eventually forbidden you to give, any Christian material or share any of your beliefs to members or non-members attending our church services or functions. Once again you continue to refuse to separate your church and its beliefs from ours when you are in our church. You continue to disrespect my wishes as Pastor of the North Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church and the wishes of our church and its board. You continue to disrespect our church beliefs and you continue to not give consideration to the fact that you are in our church. Your decision has caused our church to make a decision of which I warned you in the past would happen if you continued this behavior. On behalf of the North Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church, you Elizabeth Holm, are no longer welcome in our church or at any of our church functions, which includes the Senior’s Ministry at Nipissing Manor. Your behavior is not in accordance with the spirit and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I fear the burden of the false message you carry has taken you above the true spirit of Christianity. I will continue to pray for you. And once again, unity in Christ and the welfare of our church members is my duty and goal as Pastor of the North Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church, and I, and our church will not compromise it or allow anyone else to compromise or threaten it and cause hurt to God’s church, His people and to its God ordained Last Day Gospel Message. In the Name of Jesus Christ and His Holy Word.

Elizabeth Holm is a gentle soul that has been kindly sharing for many years, as the Holy Spirit has given her utterance, some basic truths of Scripture such as the unbreakable connection between and ongoing importance of the weekly Sabbath and annual Sabbaths/Holy Days, the irrevocable call on the Jewish/Israelite people, the eternal significance of the Land of Israel, and the end-time Elijah message with special emphasis upon the importance of the Torah/Law of Moses with the statutes and judgments. Any Pastor who has a soul in his congregation with the spiritual vision, devotion and awareness of Elizabeth Holm should fall on his knees and offer a heartfelt prayer of praise and thanksgiving for his receipt of such a blessing, but instead Pastor Paul Casey has elected to respond in the shameful way noted above, failing to provide even one "It is written" from Scripture that would justify his action or prove Elizabeth Holm to be in error and worthy of excommunication from her beloved church congregation that she has been attending for many years.
I am sending this letter to all Administrators and Pastors of the Ontario Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in the hope that at least one of you will have the wisdom of Gamaliel (Acts 5:33-40) and will counsel Pastor Paul Casey to back off from his aggressive confrontational posture, acknowledge his error, and reverse his decision. If no Pastor with the aforementioned wisdom is found in the Ontario Conference, I will expand the distribution of this letter until someone who can properly counsel Pastor Paul Casey is contacted.
