Dear Reader,

Ever wonder why the month of SEPTember is considered the 9th month on the Gregorian calendar when SEPT actually means 7 as in septuplets?

Ever wonder why the month OCTober is considered the 10th month on the Gregorian calendar when in fact OCT actually means 8 as in octagon .

Ever wonder why the month NOVEmber is considered the 11th month on the Gregorian calendar when in fact NOVE actually means 9 as in the Spanish Nueve.

Ever wonder why the month DECember is considered the 12th month on the Gregorian calendar when in fact DEC actually means 10 as in the decimal system.

I suggest to the reader that the reason the Gregorian calendar has the months named the way it does is because the people that made the Gregorian calendar were more heavily influenced by the Hebrew calendar than most people know or want to believe. I believe that we are actually in the seventh month right now in September 2011 and not in the sixth month as most of my Hebrew festival celebrating friends and family want to believe.

It is with this belief in mind that I have chosen to announce to you that the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar has commenced on Tuesday the 30th of August and on Thursday, the 8th of September the Day of Atonement will occur beginning the night before, the 7th at dusk.

The 13th of September is the first day of the feast of Tabernacles and the last great day is on Tuesday, September the 20th, 2011.
